It's all about Jesus. Jesus is why we are here and why we meet regularly each week in Prahran and throughout the city of Melbourne in our homes and workplaces. St Matt's is a community of people who love sharing together in ordinary life in and through the good news of Jesus. Whether you are already convinced that there is no greater joy and no deeper delight than loving and serving Jesus, or whether you are just curious, our prayer is that St Matt's and its network of gospel communities (our name for home groups) will be of some spiritual benefit to you. More than anything else we want God to grow us together to become wholehearted worshippers of Jesus who serve each other, our friends and our broader community in love.
So if you're already a Christian, St Matt's is a place to grow in faith, hope, love and service. If you aren't, it's somewhere to explore the Christian faith in a friendly atmosphere with no pressure.
We meet every Sunday at 10.00am and 5.00pm, as well as during the week in gospel communities.
We also run a midweek drop-in program for those who need a little extra help to make ends meet. Whether it's a food parcel or just a cup of coffee and a chat, we try to help people navigate life's twists and turns.
